Ted Phillip Landers, age 73, of Center Square, Indiana, entered this life on January 3, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of the late Joseph F. Landers and the late Ida Mae Huxel Landers. He was a 1971 graduate of Western Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ted was united in marriage on June 16, 1990, to Nancy Lee Chester at the East State Baptist Church in Dayton, Kentucky. Ted and Nancy shared 30 years of marriage together until her death on June 7, 2020. Ted was a former plastic molder for Polygraph Products in Greendale, Indiana, retiring in 2020 after 30 years of service. For the last several years, Ted drove for the Amish in Switzerland County, where he has resided since 2010. Ted loved electronics and trains and was a member of the Whitewater Valley Railroad in Connersville, Indiana. Ted passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Switzerland County, Indiana. In addition to his parents and wife, Ted is preceded in death by his step-son, Daniel Haas; two brothers, Michael Landers and William "Corky" Landers; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Landers. He is survived by two step-daughters, Amy Haas of Dayton, Kentucky, and Elisabeth Dickman (Alan) Cook of Stanton, Kentucky; three brothers: Jim (Pat) Landers of Cincinnati, Ohio, John "Jack" Landers of Sunman, Indiana, and Tom (Kay) Landers of Cincinnati, Ohio; one sister, Frances "Fran" Landers of Dayton, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Landers of Cheviot, Ohio; fourteen step-grandchildren: Chris Haas, Garrick (Gabbie) Haas, Tyler Haas, Matt Haas, Jordan Haas, Brendan Haas, Daniel Luke Haas, Daniel (Charisma Smith) Haas, Danielle Haas, Baily (Maddie Wanstrath) Haas, Jewel Haas, Sophie Cook, Breanne Cook, and Dakota Cook; four step-great-grandchildren: Hope Haas, Eathen Haas, Dakota Haas, and Marshals Haas; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Raymond Tipton will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery, 27 Stonegate Drive, Stanton, Kentucky, with Alan Cook, Jim Landers, John "Jack" Landers, Tom Landers, Terry Francis, and Danny Elkins serving as active pallbearers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Whitewater Valley Railroad. Arrangements have been entrusted to Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home of Vevay, Indiana, and Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton, Kentucky.
