Pauline Schooler, age 82, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at her home in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Thursday, October 28, 1943, in Beattyville, Kentucky, to the late Leon Schooler Pasley and the late Effie Ann Townsend Pasley. Pauline was a compassionate nurse who dedicated her career to helping others, serving at Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington Country Place, Mayfair Manor, and Baptist Health. Beyond her nursing role, she served as an Administrative Assistant at I.B.M. A cherished member of Jessamine Christian Church, Pauline found joy in her faith and community. When her boys were young, she was a fervent supporter of their sporting events, braving all kinds of weather to cheer them on with unwavering enthusiasm. Even her vacations were thoughtfully planned around their games, showcasing her commitment to their happiness and success. Pauline's home was a vibrant, inviting space—a beloved gathering spot for neighborhood kids who flocked to enjoy her warmth and kindness. Her generous and nurturing nature made anyone feel welcome. With her infectious laughter and positive spirit, Pauline brightened the lives of those around her. Friendship was immensely important to Pauline, and in her retirement, she embraced the opportunity to travel with friends, discovering new places and creating lasting memories together. She had a passion for quilting, transforming fabric into beautiful creations, and for nurturing her flower garden. Reading provided Pauline with a delightful escape, and she treasured the time spent reminiscing with her parents and siblings at the old family home in Beattyville, where both laughter and love echoed through the walls. Pauline adored her grandchildren, reveling in their company and creating joyful moments as they played board games together, filling the room with laughter and love. In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by three brothers: Leon Pasley, Leonard Pasley, and Lavonne Pasley; and one sister, Anna Marie Pasley. She is survived by three sons: Jason (Crystal) Schooler of Lexington, Kentucky, Jonny (Cathy) Schooler of Frisco, Texas, and Marvin (Cindy) Schooler of Dillonvale, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Austin Schooler, Alexis (Josthin) Dawkins, Abigail Schooler, Aubrey Schooler, Jeremiah Schooler, Josh Schooler, and Caroline Schooler; and four great-grandchildren: River Schooler, Asher Schooler, Rosie Dawkins, and Dryden Murray. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro.
