Mary Janice Roberts, age 80, was reunited with her husband, Jesse Roberts, as she entered her heavenly reward on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at home on the farm in Stanton, Kentucky. She was born on March 30, 1945, to the late Jesse Orville Wireman and the late Anna Lee Williams Wireman. Janice was a beloved beautician who dedicated an impressive forty-five years to her craft, earning the affection and trust of her many customers. Her warm spirit and compassionate nature shone through in every interaction. A devoted member of Cornerstone Baptist Church, Janice’s faith was an integral part of her life. She enriched her community by teaching Sunday School at Corinth Baptist Church and later joined a close-knit Bible study group at Central Baptist Church. Family was at the heart of Janice’s existence; she took immense pride in her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The joy of the holidays was especially evident when she pulled playful pranks on her family during Christmas, leaving laughter and fond memories in their wake. Her creative talents extended beyond her profession; Janice was a master seamstress with a flair for intricate smocking, an avid gardener cultivating a vibrant vegetable patch, and a passionate farmer who reveled in the cycles of nature. Her family cherished the bountiful harvest from her garden, particularly savoring the sweet taste of "Nini's corn," which became a treasured tradition. Janice also enjoyed transforming the fruits of her labor into beautiful baskets crafted from gourds, showcasing her resourcefulness and artistry. In her leisure, she found solace and joy in oil painting, watching the delicate beauty of butterflies and the majestic allure of lighthouses, which reflected her love for nature and the serene moments of life. Janice's legacy was one of love, creativity, and laughter, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Wireman. Janice is survived by her faithful daughter: Sheila (Scott) Durbin of Stanton; three grandchildren: Jessica (Jon Paul) Martin, Carla (Todd) Pickthorn, and Andrea (Justin) Estes; one brother: Ralph (Georgetta) Wireman of Clay City; one sister-in-law: Bertie Wireman of Prestonsburg; five great-grandchildren: Dillon (Darby) Martin, Kennon Martin, David Pickthorn, Channing Pickthorn, Bennett Pickthorn; one great great-grandchild, Thatcher Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Rev.
