Kimberly Demmons, age 58, of North Fork Road, Stanton, Kentucky, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, August 18, 2025. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, on December 30, 1966, to the late Robert William Demmons and the late Catherine Marie Burd Watson. Kim radiated warmth and joy as she cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren. Her selflessness was evident in the way she dedicated herself to caring for others, always putting their needs before her own. Kim worked as a secretary at Sipple's Chiropractic and Sipple's Auto Body Shop. In her free time, Kim indulged in a variety of simple pleasures. She found joy in shopping, treating herself to expertly styled hair and manicured nails, and whipping up delicious meals for her family. Coffee was her daily ritual, a comforting companion that fueled her vibrant spirit. With a flair for creativity, she transformed her home into a festive wonderland each holiday season, delighting all who entered. Kim's exuberance for life was infectious; her laughter and bright smile could light up any room. Her forthright nature meant that you would always know where you stood with her; she valued honesty and clarity in her relationships. A dedicated community member, Kim actively participated in the Clay City Lions Club and the AMVETS Post 67 Ladies Auxiliary, and she once took on the rewarding role of a Girl Scout leader, shaping young lives with kindness and passion. Kim's spirit was undeniably full of life, making her a beloved figure to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her life companion, Michael Witt, and one sister, Carrie Richardson. Kim is survived by one daughter, Kayla (Ryland) Ledford of Stanton; one son, D.J. Willoughby of Stanton; two sisters: Roberta (Preston) Nolan of Stanton, and Cheryl (Tracy) Stone of Winchester; two grandchildren: Noah Ledford and Harley Ledford; two nephews: Donovan (Amanda Jo) Nolan, and Anthony Lynard; four nieces: Chelsea (Ben) Taylor, Shayna (Brandon) Collins, Cathy Richardson, and Gracie Richardson; and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Mike Sipple, will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025. Burial will be held at Stonegate Cemetery in Stanton, with Preston Nolan, Donovan Nolan, Ryland Ledford, Wesley Young, Luke Turner, Robert Fisher, D.J. Willoughby, and Noah Ledford serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jeanette Lagace, Shannon Fisher, Wallace and Debbie Reed, Renee Billings, Destinee Tyra, Tracy Stone, Renee Farmer, Melinda Nolan Moore, Hondo Hearne, and Hospice East. The family kindly requests that all visitors wear bright, vibrant colors to honor the memory of Kim. They believe that bright colors symbolize the joy and light Kim brought into their lives, reflecting her cheerful spirit and love for life. This celebration of her life will serve as a heartfelt tribute to her legacy, and they encourage everyone to embrace this colorful wish as a way to remember and cherish her unique personality. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
