Kamrey Cierra Relford

Kamrey Cierra Relford, age 26, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at UK Healthcare Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on Friday, December 25, 1998, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Eric Ray Relford and April Dawn Finney Relford. Kamrey earned her Degree in Science and Mathematics from MCTC, where her passion for learning blossomed. An avid music lover, she found joy in playing the piano and enjoyed music of all genres, with a particular fondness for the soulful rhythms of the Blues. Her ability to express herself through music was especially remarkable given her blindness. In addition to music, she delighted in knitting intricate patterns and building creative structures with Legos, illustrating her innovative spirit. Kamrey shared a special bond with her aunt's cat, Sadie, whom she affectionately referred to as her "seeing-eye cat." This lovely feline was a constant companion, always by her side, adding warmth and comfort to her life. Known for her incredible kindness and selflessness, Kamrey was someone who would genuinely give the shirt off her back to help others. Her caring nature, combined with her quick wit and great sense of humor, made her a joy to be around. A deeply family-oriented person, Kamrey cherished her cousins and maintained strong, loving relationships with her relatives. Her extraordinary memory allowed her to treasure these connections, often recalling fond memories that brought smiles to everyone’s faces. People often described her as an old soul, someone wise beyond her years who brought insight and support to her friendships. Kamrey attended Clay City First Church of God, where her unwavering faith and community spirit further highlighted her devotion to those around her. In essence, she was not just a remarkable individual; she was a true friend whose presence enriched the lives of everyone she encountered. Kamrey is preceded in death by her brother, Cody Finney; her grandfather, Ricky "Poppy" Strange; and one uncle, Josh Strange. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandparents: Dewey (Luann) Miller of Winchester, Bobbie Ann Bassford of Winchester, Richard Bassford of Dahlonega, Georgia, and Andrew (Sharon) Relford of Sadieville; two uncles: Shaun (Jill) Strange of Winchester, and Andrew Relford of Georgetown; three aunts: Amanda (Anthony Ware) Strange and Miranda (Javier) Rodriguez, both of Winchester, and Krystal (T.J.) Wilson of Sadieville; and her special cousins: Emma, Kyria, Cameron, Kash, Landon, Harlow, Ella, Avery, Roman, Jayden, Kody, Matthew, A.J., and Aspyn. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Honorary pallbearers are Josh Lane, Kaylee McFarland, Macey Clark, David Curtis, and the KNI Staff. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
