Estill "Eli" Campbell, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at his home in Nicholasville, Kentucky. He was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1946, in Stanton, Kentucky, to the late Kelly Campbell and the late Bessie Boyd Campbell. Eli was a valued member of the Grounds and Safety Control team at Townsend Tree Service. A passionate musician, he filled his home with the soulful sounds of Bluegrass, skillfully playing both the guitar and mandolin. His family was his heart; he cherished his roots in Powell County, frequently returning to spend time with his beloved siblings. Eli took great pride in his children and played a significant role in raising his grandchildren, eagerly teaching them to fish and share in outdoor adventures. His little black Chihuahua, Marley, was his loyal companion and brought him great joy. In addition to his parents, Eli is preceded in death by one daughter, Melinda Jean Smith; six brothers: Eugene Campbell, Pierce Campbell, Ray Campbell, Herman Campbell, Hugh Campbell, and Arnold Campbell; and four sisters: Marie Elam, Pearlene Young, Jerlene Moore, and Irene Miller.
