Beverley Ruth Bowen

Beverley Davis Bowen, age 84, wife of Damon Bowen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at the Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester, Kentucky, with her loving family beside her. Born April 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late William Davis, Sr., and the late Madge Tipton Davis. Beverley was profoundly devoted to her family, embodying a love and commitment that was truly unparalleled. Her heart overflowed with a special affection for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. Beverley had a unique talent for making both family and friends feel treasured and appreciated, ensuring that everyone felt the warmth of her embrace. A proud graduate of Powell County High School, class of 1959, she carried her school spirit with her throughout her life. Beverley found joy in creative pursuits of painting, sewing, and various crafts. Her green thumb was evident in her beautifully tended yard, blooming with vibrant flowers that she nurtured with love and attention. Actively engaged in her community, Beverley played a pivotal role as a charter member of the Stanton Women's Club, where she dedicated many years as a financial officer. Alongside her close friend and co-worker, Susie Fig, she was instrumental in founding the beloved Stanton Corn Festival, a celebration that brought the community together. Beverley's leadership shone brightly as she served as the director of the Miss Corn Festival Pageant, mentoring young women and fostering a spirit of camaraderie. She concluded her professional journey as an Assistant City Clerk with the City of Stanton, where her kindness and dedication shone through daily interactions. With a gentle demeanor and a sweet, infectious smile, Beverley had a genuine warmth that drew people to her. While she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love and kindness will forever remain alive in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. In addition to her parents, Beverley is preceded in death by two brothers: William Davis, Jr., and Cecil Davis; and three sisters: Exie D. Minton, Pauline "Polly" Billings-Tuttle, and Joyce Davis. Along with her husband, Damon, she is survived by three daughters: Damonica Bridges- (Dick) Garrett, Dosha (Larry) Mittelman, and Ricki (Edwin) Razor; four grandchildren: Keith (Destinee) Shuler, Amanda (Steve) Goosey, Matthew (Sarah) Razor, and William Razor; four step-grandchildren: Rachel Quirarte, Jacob Mittelman, Samuel Mittelman, Joshua Mittelman; seven great-grandchildren: Tyler Kuhn, Zachary Kuhn, Madison Kuhn, Branson Shuler, Memphis Shuler, Bowen Razor, and Ada Jane Razor; and four step-grandchildren: Rio Hagen-Touart, Maxine Mittelman, Hailey Goosey, and Austin Goosey. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Stephen Donithan will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Stanton Cemetery, with William Razor, Matthew Razor, Keith Shuler, Tyler Kuhn, Zachary Kuhn, and Austin Goosey serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Ed Razor, Dick Garrett, Steve Goosey, and Larry Mittelman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
